I have noticed that a lot of blogs are giving Christmas Tours so I decided to once again take you on a decorating tour. Mine will be much different than the ones that I have viewed elsewhere as those homes were all neutral colors–mostly white. You will definitely not find that here. I am a color person and I love the things that I have collected over the years. When I walk in the door of my home, I want to feel warm and cozy. I want the colors and the feel to draw me in and invite me to sit down, unwind and relax. So here we go:
From the kitchen, this is the view of the Living Room where most of my Christmas decorations are.
Frank photo bomb alert!
These two crewel needlepoint pictures depicting the wise men and the manger scene must be 30 years old now. Before children, my mom and I would take a bus trip to Chicago every year to shop at Marshall Fields and see all the Christmas lights in Chicago. I bought these as kits at Marshall Fields way back then and I get them out every year.
This is the hutch in the kitchen/dining area. I packed it full with all kinds of Christmas fun.
The basement family room just has this one corner where I have put a few things for the holidays. We recently redecorated the basement and as soon as a few odds and ends are done, I will show you the re-do.
That is about it. I am off to the sewing room where I am working on a “dress me” doll for my two year old grandson.
Hopefully, I will be able to show you the finished project before I have to hurriedly wrap it at the last minute!
Frank and Vanessa watch for Santa everyday, but today it was just the repairman.
