I have been without internet for a week! After two calls to the internet provider and one week later, new equipment arrived and I was able to fix it myself in a matter of minutes!
While I was under the desk untangling all the old lines and plugging in the new lines, I glanced over to see what the dogs were up to and this is what I saw:
WHAT A NUT! A bumblebee must have been hibernating down in the family room and had decided to make an appearance in the hopes Spring was here. Well, Vanessa thought this was mighty interesting. She is such a cartoon character.
There are signs of spring though! The trees are trying ever so hard to leaf out.
Last weekend was Kite Komotion in Shipshewana. Kite flyers come from all over to put on demonstrations with their kites. Kids and parents come to watch and to make their own kite to fly. When I stopped to snap a few pictures, I counted fifty plus kites in the sky! It was beautiful and they had a beautiful day for it. This is a yearly event: every April, the last Saturday.
This beautiful Yellow Warbler came to visit for the first time this week. I have never seen one before. He always flys in with the Goldfinches.
The Robin family is back this year and has set up house in the dead pine tree we were going to cut down. I guess we will have to wait a little bit longer!
Shipshewana had its’ annual MayFest parade this past Saturday. It is always such a fun time for our small town. I would have taken oodles of pictures but was busy walking in it myself. This is all for now. I promise that the next time you hear from me I will have the infamous “Cheezy” recipe for you so stay tuned folks!
